 Marketing is fundamentally about demand generation. It’s job is to create awareness, interest and ultimately the required levels of revenue for your brand.


At it’s simplest, there are two aspects to marketing - and both are equally important.

Ultimately, marketing is all about demand generation.

Strategic Marketing

Essentially, identify where and how you are going to compete? Most markets are incredibly competitive, so it’s key you define who your target customers are and then develop a Brand and proposition which is compelling, gives them what they want and ultimately makes them choose you over the competition. Sounds simple but it’s not, it requires good market analysis, a real understanding of your customers and some future gazing.

Tactical Marketing

Great strategy requires great execution. A strong brand and reputation is great BUT it means little if you don’t drive the required levels of interest and sales for the business. Most of a company’s marketing resource and budget will be allocated to tactical marketing, driving the optimum ROI from a multi-channel marketing plan which utilises the most appropriate tools available (eg. SEO, PPC, Social Media, Digital PR, Email etc…) so it’s critical you get this right.
